Just picked up a Kindle Colorsoft and wondering if your Paperwhite case will still fit? If your case was made for the Kindle Paperwhite 12th Generation (2024), the answer is yes.
The short answer
The Kindle Colorsoft and the 12th Gen Kindle Paperwhite are the same size on the outside: the same 7 inch screen and the same dimensions. That is why our Paperwhite 12th Gen / Colorsoft case is made to fit both.
Is the Kindle Colorsoft the same size as the Paperwhite?
Yes, as long as you are comparing it to the 2024 Paperwhite. Here are the numbers side by side:
| Kindle Paperwhite 12th Gen (2024) | Kindle Colorsoft | Kindle Paperwhite 11th Gen (2021) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen | 7 inch | 7 inch | 6.8 inch |
| Dimensions | 176.7 x 127.6 x 7.8 mm | 176.7 x 127.6 x 7.8 mm | 174.2 x 124.6 x 8.1 mm |
| Bondi case | Paperwhite 12th Gen / Colorsoft | Paperwhite 12th Gen / Colorsoft | Paperwhite 11th Gen |
The Colorsoft is a few grams heavier (219 g vs 211 g), which makes no difference to how a case fits.
The 2021 Paperwhite is the odd one out. It is a few millimeters shorter and narrower, so it needs its own case.
Other Kindles need their own size
Other Kindles have different dimensions, so each one needs a case made for it. Bondi cases come in sizes for:
- Kindle Paperwhite 12th Generation and Kindle Colorsoft
- Kindle Paperwhite 11th Generation, including the Signature Edition
- Kindle Basic, the 6 inch model
Start with the collection for your device and pick your print from there. The Kindle Oasis and Kindle Scribe are not covered yet. Read on a Kobo instead? There are Kobo cases for the Clara Colour, Clara BW, and Libra Colour.

Our Paperwhite 12th Gen / Colorsoft case
Magnetic support is built into the lower two-thirds of the back, so your grip repositions across the back, not just the center. Move it when you switch hands, or take it off when you want the case slim.
It has corner protection and a raised bezel around the screen, and it is printed on vegan leather with a soft microfiber lining. No straps, no fixed grips, and no permanent sticky magnet rings.
It is also the only Bondi case that supports wireless charging, using a round MagSafe charger. See the Help Center for which Kindles charge wirelessly.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Kindle Colorsoft case fit a Kindle Paperwhite?
Yes, as long as the Paperwhite is the 12th Generation (2024) model. The two are the same size, so the same case fits both.
Will my old Kindle Paperwhite case fit the Colorsoft?
Only if that case was made for the 2024 (12th Generation) Paperwhite. The 2021 (11th Generation) Paperwhite is a different size, so its cases will not fit the Colorsoft. Bondi makes a separate size for the 11th Gen.
Is the Colorsoft the same size as the Paperwhite?
Yes. The Kindle Colorsoft and the 12th Gen (2024) Paperwhite both measure 176.7 x 127.6 x 7.8 mm.
Is the Kindle Colorsoft the same size as the Paperwhite 11th Gen?
No. The 11th Gen (2021) Paperwhite measures 174.2 x 124.6 x 8.1 mm, a few millimeters smaller than the Colorsoft, so the two need different cases.
Is the Colorsoft heavier than the Paperwhite?
Slightly. The Colorsoft weighs 219 g and the 12th Gen Paperwhite weighs 211 g. That small difference does not change how a case fits.
