I spent ages trying to find a case to suit my needs, this is excellent quality and a great fit, with rugged protection that's not too bulky.

When travelling I use a cheap padded sleeve from Amazon to store it in my bag (to protect the screen) for the perfect travel set up.
I like the colors and fit
The bondi case with the magnet finger ring is my favorite case, and I have purchased many trying to find the best. I also use the magnet finger ring on my phone when I’m not reading 🤩
Update — After my first review, Bondi reached out almost immediately and let me know the issues I experienced were due to a defective case. Their customer service was incredibly kind and responsive, and they sent me a replacement!
I can confidently say the replacement is a completely different experience. The back panel arrived fully sealed with no lifting around the edges, even with normal use, and the overall build quality feels much sturdier than my original case. It’s clear the first one was simply defective.
I also switched from the Ocean Blue design to Aster Taupe, and the pattern is even prettier in person.
I was a little thrown off by Bondi at first, but I’m impressed now. They stood behind their product, communicated quickly, and made the replacement process incredibly easy. I’ll also add that while it was a little jarring at first to realize the entire back of the case isn’t magnetic, having only the bottom two-thirds be magnetic has really grown on me. Don’t knock it until you’ve used it for a few weeks!
Old — I really liked the concept behind the Bondi Kindle case, and it’s ultimately the reason I decided to buy it. I first came across it on TikTok, and the biggest selling point for me was the magnetic grip. Unlike a PopSocket, which locks your hand into one position, the Bondi grip lets you slide your fingers through the loop and reposition it for a much more comfortable hold. As someone who reads in bed a lot, I really appreciate being able to switch between different hand positions, whether I’m using my left or right hand.
That said, I do wish the magnets extended across the entire back of the case. While the website does mention that the magnets are concentrated in the lower two-thirds of the case, I didn’t realize that until after purchasing. It would be nice to have full coverage so you could place the grip anywhere instead of being limited to that magnetic region. Occasionally I’ll want to hold my Kindle a little higher, and the grip slips out of the magnetic area, forcing me to adjust.
Aesthetically, I’d give the case about a 7/10. I purchased the Ocean Blue case with the light blue grip, and I think the color combinations are really pretty. I do wish the silicone border came in colors other than black, though. A matching blue, cream, or white border would make the case look much more premium and cohesive.
Unfortunately, my biggest complaint is the build quality. When the case arrived, the decorative back panel was already slightly lifted from the silicone frame. It wasn’t loose enough to fall out, but it definitely looked like it hadn’t been fully seated or glued into place, which wasn’t a great first impression.
I’ve also only had the case for about a month, and it’s already starting to show wear. The thin protective layer around the bottom-right edge of the back panel has begun peeling up. That’s disappointing, especially for a case that costs around $50. I almost exclusively use this case at home, and when I travel with my Kindle, I actually switch it into a folio-style case that protects the screen. This case hasn’t been tossed around in bags or subjected to heavy use, so I wasn’t expecting noticeable wear this quickly.
On the positive side, the case feels lightweight and comfortable in the hand, and the magnetic grip itself has worked really well. The magnet feels secure, the loop is a comfortable size, and I haven’t had any issues with the grip detaching unexpectedly.
Overall, I think this is a really clever design with excellent ergonomics, but the execution leaves room for improvement. The functionality is genuinely comfortable and works as advertised, but the limited magnetic coverage, cosmetic issues out of the box, and early signs of wear keep it from feeling like a premium product. That’s why I’m giving it 3 out of 5 stars. I don’t regret buying it, but I do think the build quality and overall finish should be better for the price.
Cute pattern and I love the shape
I love being able to hold my kindle in multiple positions. The case itself is beautiful and protective. I did reach out to customer service because USPS kept showing that my case was delivered but it was no where to be found. They promptly sent me a new case. another 5 stars for customer service!
This was my first Kindle case purchased through Bondi and I love it! The designs are very cute and the quality is great, I love how light it feels on your Kindle even with the magnets.
This case is EVERYTHING!!! I have seriously tried like every case on the market and have always thought there has to be something better out there, so I'm always on the hunt. Then I see an ad for Bondi and I'm like this is IT. So genius!!!! At first I used it with a magnetic popsocket but it wasn't the completely comfortable feel I was looking for. Got one of the loops they sell- and that was the missing piece I needed! A literal match made in heaven. Everyone should know about this product!!!!! As an avid kindle user, I am SO passionate about this!!!!! If you're on the fence, let this be your sign- you won't regret it!
5 stars all day long! I am so picky about cases and this one checks all my boxes. It is so comfortable to use and get cozy with. I love that I can put a popsocket on it and use it in my car mount in the car while waiting somewhere or while my husband is driving. (With my page turner) It arrived Saturday and I’ve finished 2 books already since then. I love the grip so much and wish I had ordered a second one for my phone. I don’t want to order one now because shipping is kind of $$$, but I really like the one I have. If this was available for the Paperwhite gen 11 I’d order another case for my son.
Super cute case, I like being able to move my pop socket around. Can’t wait for more patterns to be released, I’ll probably buy again.

This is by far the cutest kindle case I've had! The green stripe design is top tier!! But was a little disappointed that not the whole back of the case is magnetic. It has a strong magnet at the bottom of the case, but it weakens as you place the grip higher. Even right in the center is less strong than the bottom part and doesn't fully hold sometimes : ( but packaging and shipping were great and it is so so cute!

This case popped up on my Instagram and was so disappointed when I saw they only made it for the 12th generation kindle. I had a kindle Oasis I bought in 2016 that was my ride or die and did not want to upgrade for a case. After a few more targeted ads I decided to pull the trigger and buy a 12th generation kindle along with this case and grip and let me tell you, it’s a DREAM! I’ve tried so many uncomfortable kindle cases through the years and nothing was super comfortable for me. I love that I can move the grip around so no matter what hand I’m holding it with it’s super comfortable. If you’re on the fence about this case you should go for it! It’s the best case I’ve ever had for my kindle and I’m telling you, I’ve owned way too many 😂
